Not it’s not true you must have the visa in your passport prior to getting on the boat. You can get a visa at the airport when you land. It’s cheap and will only take a few minutes. You must …

I would guess that you have not been able to make this trip because of covid. But we found that being a river cruise we did not need much evening wear (we are used to going on bigger cruise ships) I always take evening trousers that i can dress up or down with different tops.
