From the inlet you can walk the beach. It’s a state park, with a nominal fee ($3 or $4) depending on how many people in the car.?

I've not seen alligators but this is Florida, alligators could be found in any body of water. They prefer fresh water but have been spotted in brackish as well, including the Indian River. The lagoon seems to be fairly safe from predators and is well traficked. Hope this helps.

We are looking at camping at Sebastian Inlet March 2021. Some reviews said no-see-ums were so bad they had to leave, but you didn't mention them -- did you have bug problems in March?
A:
The first trip we didn’t have any issues, but the next three visits later in the year were almost unbearable. Mosquitos and no-see-ums love me so it was rough. I hope this helps
