Football Australia has officially recommended the 2026 Asian Football Confederation AFC Women Asian Cup to take place from March 1 to 21 in Aus

The 2026 Women's Asian Cup in Australia has been scheduled for March 1-21 and will be played at five venues in Sydney, Perth and the Gold Coast, organisers said on Wednesday. The 12-team continental championship is Australia's biggest soccer tournament since co-hosting the Women's World Cup with New Zealand in 2023.

Five venues across just three states will shoulder the load of Matildas and other matches for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup, with Victoria and South Australia left out of planning for the tournament.
