Atishi, who was proposed as the CM-designate by Arvind Kejriwal, will take oath along with her council of ministers.

Atishi will be sworn in as Delhi's Chief Minister, retaining four ministers, while Mukesh Ahlawat is expected to join her cabinet.

Arvind Kejriwal resigned as the Delhi chief minister on Tuesday, after which Atishi staked claim to form a new government in the national capital.

There are indications that she may take oath, along with new cabinet ministers, on coming Saturday, sources added.

Atishi will be required to prove her majority in the Delhi Assembly during a session scheduled for September 26-27

Atishi will be sworn in as Delhi`s new Chief Minister on September 21, with Mukesh Ahlawat joining the Cabinet. Gopal Rai, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Kailash Gahlot, and Imran Hussain will be retained.

Delhi’s new Cabinet of ministers, including Chief Minister-designate Atishi and six Cabinet colleagues, will take oath on Saturday, September 21. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sources said two MLAs for the two vacant berths in the Cabinet will be named on Thursday.

"Atishi will take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on September 21, other ministers will also take their oaths alongside her," the Aam Aadmi Party said in a statement.

Lieutenant governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Wednesday sent the file on the appointment of the chief minister to the President for approval, proposing Saturday for the swearing-in ceremony

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) party had initially decided that only Atishi would be sworn in, however, it was later determined that her council of ministers would also take the oath.
