Chris Stapleton took home four Country Music Association Awards and hardly left the stage on Wednesday night, while an absent Morgan Wallen won the night's biggest prize, entertainer of the year.

Lainey Wilson and Chris Stapleton were crowned the CMA Awards' vocalists of the year while George Strait took home the lifetime achievement award.

"I owe my wife an apology," the singer said while accepting his second win of the night Chris Stapleton forgot to thank one important collaborator when he accepted his first win of the night at the 2024 Country Music Association Awards.
