The flood of AI news from Google comes in the wake of the launch of DeepSeek, the breakthrough Chinese AI tool that's been making headlines.

Google has launched several new AI models, including Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental, and brought a 'reasoning' model to its Gemini app.

For developers, there’s also an even more efficient version of Gemini 2.0 called 2.0 Flash-Lite. This model is designed to be even more cost-efficient for applications with high throughput. However, Google says it has the same 1 million token context window as Flash 2.0.

The latest Gemini 2.0 Flash model can interact with other Google apps and comes with reasoning chops, while the Gemini 2.0 Pro model excels at math and coding.

If you are a Gemini Advanced subscriber, you can access Gemini 2.0 Pro through the model-picker menu on both desktop and mobile. Developers can also experiment with the model in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI.
