A procession will be held Wednesday morning to honor Cooper Dawson, the first Greenville police officer to die in line of duty in over a century. The Greenville Police Department announced that the procession will enter the city — located around 50 miles northeast of Dallas in Hunt County — on Highway 380 at around 10:30 a.

Flowers and prayers grace the growing memorial outside the Greenville Police Department. It's all to honor fallen police officer, Cooper Dawson. “This is an opportunity to support our community, and we are all grieving,” memorial visitor Jennifer Moody said.
