Actor and comedian Adam Sandler was spotted in Washington Township on Tuesday. Sandler has been spotted in and around New Jersey over the last few weeks while filming “Happy Gilmore 2,” the long-awaited sequel to his 1996 classic.

Shooting will be begin in early October and last about two months, using the club's three 18-hole golf courses as movie settings.

Last week, on Sept. 9, Sandler, who is renowned for his laid back fashions, could be seen wearing a robe and sunglasses (over some sweats and sneakers, naturally) on the “Happy Gilmore 2″ set in South Orange. That day also happened to be his birthday — he’s 58.
