Jurassic World Rebirth director Gareth Edwards took the franchise back to its basics by borrowing one trick from Steven Spielberg's playbook.

Although Spielberg didn't direct the new Jurassic film, he still worked closely with the screenwriter. After the 1993 original, the duo reunited for the 1997 sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, 2005's War of the Worlds, and 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. They have since reunited for another film.
