OU football sent a gift to ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit on Saturday before the Sooners' game against Alabama to pay tribute to Herbstreit's late dog, Ben.

Herbstreit’s beloved golden retriever had become somewhat of a celebrity through frequent appearances on ESPN’s “College GameDay” and in the broadcast booth.

Kirk Herbstreit's dog, Ben, had been a staple wherever the announcer appeared. He could be seen wagging his tail on ESPN's "College GameDay" and Herbstreit would bring him up during "Thursday Night Football" broadcasts on Amazon Prime Video. Ben passed away earlier this month after cancer spread in his body.
