New York Giants star wide receiver Malik Nabers is unable to practice today due to a groin injury, NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports. This could spell trouble for the team going into Week 12, where they are scheduled to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday.

Nabers is obviously the most notable guy on that list. Will he play in Tommy DeVito’s 2024 debut on Sunday? Nabers — the Giants’ star rookie wide receiver — popped up on the injury report Friday for the first time this week. He did not practice Friday.

The Giants’ future at quarterback is uncertain, but Malik Nabers’ wishes are crystal clear. On the same day that a benched Daniel Jones essentially said goodbye to the Giants after a six-year run as the starter, Nabers was asked what he hopes the next franchise quarterback brings to the table.

Malik Nabers already has become the most leaned-upon offensive piece in the Giants’ limited arsenal and figures to remain that way for the foreseeable future. The Giants are invested in him, and therefore he should be invested in whom they decide to have throwing the ball to him.
