Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers has filed a lawsuit against General Motors and OnStar, accusing the automaker and its subsidiary company of selling the driving data of Nebraskans, without the drivers' consent.

Nebraska on Tuesday sued General Motors, accusing the automaker of selling driving data of millions of unknowing customers to insurers in what the attorney general called "a one-way racket."

Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers has announced a lawsuit against General Motors and OnStar, which is owned by GM. He said the companies illegally collected, processed and sold sensitive driving data from Nebraskans without their knowledge or consent for ten years.
