A Powerball ticket sold in Illinois won $50,000, but just missed the $71 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The tickets matched four of five winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, Jan. 29, the Illinois Lottery said.

The Powerball winning numbers are in for the Wednesday, Jan. 29 drawing with a jackpot that reached an estimated $69 million ($30.7 million cash value). The largest winning Powerball jackpot ticket sold in Michigan was worth $842.
