Legendary Formula 1 designer Adrian Newey has made a worrying claim regarding Red Bull Racing ahead of the 2025 season, which could impact Max Verstappen's future. During the 2024 campaign, Verstappen had to dig deep into his resources as Red Bull suffered a surprising dip in form.

Both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez suffered drastic dips in form midway through the year, but while the former managed to recover in time to deliver a fourth consecutive world title, his team-mate limped to the finish line.

Verstappen still managed to win the Drivers' Championship but his father Jos believes it will be tougher in 2025 without Newey running the show behind the scenes. "I'm a little doubtful," said Jos. " Red Bull needs to build a car that is more predictable in all conditions. Looking at the second half of 2024, you can't be optimistic.
