On Wednesday, the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Plaza will be lit in an event hosted by NBC. Here’s how to tune in and who will perform.

Crews are set to adorn the conifer with five miles of light strands, totaling more than 50,000 multicolored LED bulbs. A dazzling Swarovski star, featuring 3 million crystals, will crown the tree as its sparkling finale.

A number of New York City roads will be closed for the tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center this Wednesday.

The Rockefeller tree lighting ceremony will air during the first week of December. This year's tree was transported from West Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It's the first time the tree has come from the state since 1959. It arrived in New York City earlier this month, on November 9.

The choir joins Clarkson on the tree lighting bill. The TV host and pop star is both singing and hosting at NBC’s “ Christmas in Rockefeller Center, ” which airs Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. E.T. in the New Jersey-New York area and 8 p.m. across the country. The Jersey students will sing “Deck the Halls,” the song from their audition.
