The FreeCast app launches on Roku with channels hyper-targeted advertising, with VOD and AI search coming in future updates.

BET+ Essential provides Roku viewers access to the entire BET+ content library with minimal ads at $5.99 per month, compared with the existing, ad-free premium subscription option priced at $10.99 monthly. Both options are available on The Roku Channel.

The plan joins BET+’s Premium ad-free plan, allowing viewers to choose which tier of service they prefer when signing up through Roku Channel. [The Roku Channel] is an incredibly convenient way to add new streaming subscriptions.

In addition to all the new offerings from BET+ Essentials, Roku quietly added 11 additional free channels, including UFC, Bellator MMA, The Connors, Outer Sphere, and Nash Bridges. Roku has also been loading up on original content lately, as well, including plenty of holiday content.
