Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has extended its partnership with the Government of India for the System for Pension Administration, Raksha (SPARSH), a platform managing pensions for over 30 lakh defence personnel.

As per the extension contract, the role of TCS will be to maintain the hardware as well software segments for a period of next three years, while also delivering key updates to the SPARSH system.

The company statement said over the years, it has been able to reduce pension processing timelines from 12 to 18 months to just 14 days, and do it within a week for first-time pension payments.

TCS has secured a 3-year extension of its contract to process pensions for 30 lakh defence personnel, streamlining the process and saving the government Rs 250 crore annually. The company has also implemented the OROP scheme.
