United Airlines Holdings Inc. tracks megastar Taylor Swift’s globe-spanning Eras tour to make sure they have enough airplane seats for her army of fans.

Due to the high demand for Swift’s tour, the Chicago-based airline tracks the singer’s tour dates and locations to ensure it has the correct number of seats available for fans to travel to her performances,

For a long time, Swift has served as an economic force. In 2023, she reportedly contributed roughly $5.7 billion to the U.S. economy through her globe-trotting tour – accounting for not only ticket sales, but also traveling expenses, costumes, hotels, food, and other spending.

At a travel industry conference Wednesday, United said it has seen a 25% uptick in demand for flights on weekends during which Swift has held concerts abroad. Swift is having a similar effect on domestic travel too, Andrew Nocella, the airline's EVP and chief commercial officer, added.
