A report this week indicated Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins was set to miss time with a knee sprain and it will be at least a four-game absence from the lineup. The Chargers announced that Dobbins has been placed on injured reserve on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Chargers have placed running back J.K. Dobbins on the injured reserve due to a knee injury. Dobbins suffered an MCL sprain on Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens. Dobbins was a candidate for Comeback Player of the Year after struggling to stay on the field these past few seasons.

Dobbins (knee) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Head coach Jim Harbaugh suggested earlier in the week the talented running back would be out some time, and now we know Dobbins will miss at minimum four weeks due to a knee sprain.
