The final season of Stranger Things saw the Hawkins crew defeating the monsters of the Upside Down and moving into a more peaceful future — but what happened behind the scenes? The Martina Radwan-directed documentary, titled One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things Season 5, pulls back the curtain.
“Stranger Things” star David Harbour has unexpectedly dropped out of an acting project. Harbour, who played Jim Hopper on all five seasons of “Stranger Things,” stepped back from his role in “Behemoth!,” an upcoming drama from “Michael Clayton” director Tony Gilroy. Variety confirmed the news earlier this week.
That next effort took place on the just-completed New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, when AMC showed, in 231 of its U.S. theatres, the multi-hour cultural phenomenon of the series finale for Netflix’s much-acclaimed Stranger Things. This unprecedented theatrical event was nothing less than an absolute triumph.
“Stranger Things” was created by Matt and Ross Duffer and is produced by Upside Down Pictures and 21 Laps Entertainment. Set in the fall of 1987, the final season follows a group of teens, and a few of their parents, as they set out to end Vecna’s reign once and for all. All episodes of Season 5 are now streaming on Netflix.
Netflix’s screening of the final episode of ‘Stranger Things’ in around 600 theaters was a big hit for cinema owners over the New Year’s holiday.
