Wither Storm is an extremely destructive custom-made boss mob that was first featured in Minecraft: Story Mode. Soon, a modder created the entity for the Java Edition game as well.

"The Wither Storm concept came out of the story room process with Mojang and as soon as it was suggested, pretty much everyone went 'Ohhhh yeah, that's awesome. We have to do that,'" he said.

So the Wither Storm tale is over (or will be at the conclusion of Episode Four), but the game will continue in Episode Five, which will apparently kick off something new. Or maybe I'm reading it ...
