UConn forward Alex Karaban flies home with team after brief hospital stay at Maui Invitational
LAHAINA, Hawaii — UConn forward Alex Karaban was cleared to fly home with the rest of the team shortly before takeoff, a team spokesman said Thursday, after the Southborough native was taken to a hospital with a head injury Wednesday night after the No. 2 Huskies lost, 85-67, to Dayton in the seventh-place game of the Maui Invitational.
