The Florida Panthers agreed to a six-year extension with the forward that’s worth just under $32 million, SportsNet’s Elliotte Friedman reported on Monday. The Panthers, who signed Aaron Ekblad to an eight-year extension earlier in the day, were left with about $5.75 million in cap space.

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, Marchand is reportedly sticking with the defending Stanley Cup champions for the long haul, inking a six-year contract extension worth just under $32 million.
