Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick hit the Sunday morning talk shows to reassure Americans that President Donald Trump's tariff plan is going to work out in the long term as dock workers and truckers report job cuts due to falling imports.

Many of Trump’s other new tariffs remain in place, raising costs for importers and manufacturers. The levies include a 10% across-the-board tariff on imports from nearly every country, as well as tariffs on specific sectors such as automotive imports and steel and aluminum imports.

Bar owners, beverage directors and spirits distributors must now grapple with what these tariffs mean for their business costs and their bottom lines. Raj Bhakta, founder of Bhakt
