The Washington Commanders (7-2), who lead the Eagles (6-2) by one-half game in the NFC East, traded for star cornerback Marshon Lattimore, just in time for their showdown Nov. 14 at Lincoln Financial Field, their first of two games against each other.

The Eagles held off a late charge to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars, 28-23, at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday. The final score may have been closer than most would have expected given the state of the two teams and the lopsided score going into halftime.

The NFL’s 4 p.m. trade deadline has passed and Eagles general manager Howie Roseman didn’t make a move this year. The Eagles are 6-2 and very much in the mix among NFC contenders but they did not add any reinforcements on Tuesday.

Result: This was by far Roseman's best in-season trade. "The Jay Train" had a reputation as a selfish player in Miami. But he was the ideal complement to LeGarrette Blount at running back with the Eagles. Ajayi had 408 yards in 7 games, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. He had 57 yards on 9 carries in the Super Bowl.
