Homegrown auto major Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday launched its flagship electric origin SUVs - the BE 6e at a starting price of 18.90 lakh and XEV 9e at a starting price of Rs 21.90 lakh. The carmaker will roll out the new SUVs in a phased manner in the latter part of January 2025.

Mahindra has unveiled the XEV 9e and BE 6e, two groundbreaking electric SUVs under its XUV and BE sub-brands, designed to redefine the EV landscape. With bold designs, advanced features, and competitive pricing, these models aim to rival premium brands like Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

Mahindra & Mahindra has committed Rs 4,500 crore on the overall development, including the creation of production capacity, for the two new ground-up electric brands, a top company executive said on Wednesday.

Mahindra has launched the XEV 9e in India, priced at Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The XEV 9e will be available in three variants—Pack 1, Pack 2, and Pack 3, with the Rs 21.90 lakh price for the Pack 1 variant.

Home-grown Mahindra and Mahindra on Tuesday revealed its two new electric sports utility vehicles (SUVs) - the BE 6e and XEV 9e. Mahindra currently sells the XUV 400 electric SUV in the country. However, that was essentially based on the conventional XUV 300 SUV.
