Shubman Gill recovered from his injury and he walked out to bat at No.3 for India in the pink ball practice match against Prime Minister's XI.

Shubman Gill missed being part of the Playing XI for the Perth Test as he injured his thumb during the match simulations.

Shubman Gill had missed the first Test after he had fractured his thumb when he was fielding during a match simulation session in Perth.

Shubman Gill had suffered a finger injury during fielding practice during the first couple of days of training in Australia for the Indian team. Gill had his finger bandaged when he returned to India's nets in Perth before being ruled out of the series opener.

Apart from Gill, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 45, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who impressed on his debut in Perth, scored a quickfire 42. Spin all-rounder Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja also contributed 42 and 27 runs,

Shubman Gill scored 50 runs off 62 balls while batting at No.3 when India faced the Prime Minister's XI in the warm-up match at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.
