Norfolk State will be heading into the off-season without their head coach Dawson Odums who was relieved of his duties effective immediately

The school has relieved head coach Dawson Odums of his duties and he will no longer lead the football program, according to an athletic department release sent Tuesday.

Dawson Odums will not return atop the Norfolk State program following four seasons at the FBS, HBCU Virginia school. Odums and the school parted ways Tuesday, just days removed from the Spartans wrapping up an 4-8 campaign.

Norfolk State Football's head coach Dawson Odums was reassigned from his duties on Tuesday, according to Norfolk State University (NSU).

Dawson Odums had just wrapped up his fourth season with the Spartans in which they finished 4-8 and lost two of their last three games.
