Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said Tuesday that the city is still determining how to respond to a call from congressional Republicans for her and other Democratic mayors to appear at a Capitol Hill hearing to discuss their local immigration policies.

In a statement, a city spokesperson said, “We are proud that Boston is the safest major city in the United States. We have received the letter and are reviewing it.”
