The Los Angeles Chargers made the reported addition of former Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott official on Tuesday, announcing roster moves in the process. There, the Chargers announced that in order to fit Elliott on the practice squad, they released Laviska Shenault.
For the first time in two weeks, the Chargers had both of their leading rushers, J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards, on the practice field.
The Chargers cut Shenault from their practice squad Tuesday. In a corresponding move, the Chargers signed running back Ezekiel Elliott to their practice squad. Shenault will now have to look for his next opportunity to make an impression elsewhere.
