Cast your mind back to July this year when the last Prime Day took place (that’s right – two Prime Day sales in one year). That Prime Day event spanned six days — the longest Prime Day on record — with the October event set to match it.

It’s official: Amazon’s second Prime Day event of the year will take place at the beginning of October. The two-day shopping event — which Amazon is calling Prime Big Deal Days for the second year in a row — will begin at 12:01AM PT / 3:01AM ET on Tuesday, October 8th, and run through Wednesday, October 9th, the company announced on Tuesday.

Prime Day, aka “Prime Big Deal Days,” is returning once again, as Amazon endeavors to lengthen the holiday shopping season. The pre-holiday sales take place on Oct. 8 and 9 2024, and are Amazon’s fall complement to its July Prime Day event.
