An atmospheric river moving south in Northern California is bringing snow and rain to areas that may not have experienced as much wet weather since wet weather first arrived mid-last week.

The KCRA 3 weather team is issuing an Alert Day on Friday for the region because of the rain and wind. Ponding and flooding is happening at lower elevations, and Sierra travel is expected to be heavily impacted by slick roads.
