Red Bull are set to make a shock decision over Sergio Perez’s F1 future according to recent reports. The Mexican star has failed to deliver at Red Bull throughout the 2024 season, but the team retained faith in him following replacement rumours prior to the summer break.

Yet more news has emerged from the Formula 1 world today. A lucrative, new sponsorship deal for Sergio Perez may see him stay at Red Bull, despite his many hiccups alongside Max Verstappen this year.

Martin Brundle believes Sergio Perez won’t be at the wheel of a Red Bull in F1 2025, with the Mexican close to being a “passenger” in the team. Perez has struggled for form and consistency throughout F1 2024,

Whilst Max Verstappen still leads the drivers' championship, the constructors' title looks well out of sight for Red Bull now, with both McLaren and Ferrari having overtaken them thanks to the many point-less performances from Verstappen's team-mate Sergio Perez.
