A PENSIONER who was left uncontrollably shaking when she was targeted by distraction thieves at a supermarket is warning other shoppers to be on their guard.

Katie Amess, 41, said she continues to worry for the safety of politicians following the death of Ann Widdecombe.

The family of William Chapman, who was killed by a tiger at a wildlife park, have described the 23-year-old as a “bright, warm and engaging young man”.

The image was chosen from more than 65,000 entries to the annual Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
