Storm Bert has transformed central and southern Scotland, under a blanket of snow. With some travel disruption, some children and dogs have been enjoying the cold weather.

Drivers are stuck on the Edinburgh City Bypass as Storm Bert continues to cause chaos across the country. Footage taken at around 11am on Saturday morning shows several vehicles at a standstill with drivers being urged to "avoid" the major city road.

The Scottish government has urged the public to heed a Met Office amber warning for heavy snow for parts of Scotland during Storm Bert.
