Authorities in Florida have recovered 37 coins worth over $1 million stolen from an 18th-century Spanish shipwreck.

The recovered coins, worth a combined $1 million, are part of a trove of gold coins discovered in 2015 by the Schmitt family, who were contracted by 1715 Fleet - Queens Jewels, LLC for salvage operations.

Investigators will continue searching for the remaining 13 gold coins missing from what the agency said was a “treasure trove” of 101 coins found in 2015.
