If you are planning on heading out to Millennium Park to see the Chicago Christmas Tree lighting, make sure to dress warm.

Chicago experienced a blast of winter weather Thursday, as a snow storm moved through the area, with 1 to 4 inches of accumulation.

The tree, which was donated by a Logan Square family and placed in Millennium Park earlier this month, was illuminated Friday evening.
