Devin Booker wanted to play in the 2025 NBA All-Star game, but failed to make the roster out of a Western Conference that is loaded with stars. When asked about not making the team, Booker said it's tough to do nowadays because there are so many talented players in the league.

The NBA decided to change the All-Star game format this year with a four-team mini-tournament in which TNT’s Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O'Neal will have a draft and select three eight-man teams from the 24 All-Stars. The Rising Stars champion from Friday will be the fourth team.

While Booker was not named a starter, his teammate Kevin Durant was, giving the Suns at least one All-Star this season. Durant will join Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokić as the All-Star starters in the Western Conference.
