The visiting Tigers stayed close to Alabama in the yards department, being out-gained 457-399. Quarterback Payton Thorne passed for 301 yards and a touchdown in the loss, but two late interceptions, including one on a trick play by running back Jarquez Hunter, killed Auburn’s hopes of erasing the 14-point deficit in the final quarter of play.
