The New Berlin Police Department confirmed Saturday that a man who had been missing since Thursday was found dead in his overturned vehicle in an Illinois creek.

According to the New Berlin Police Department, a man, Benjamin Oberto, was reported missing on Thursday, November 14.

Ben Oberto, of New Berlin, had visited 1776 Restaurant on Route 14 in Crystal Lake. He left the restaurant at about 9 p.m. His wife, Laura, couldn’t reach him. His phone last pinged in Rosemont 45 minutes later and then went dead.
