The Chicago Fire Department responded to a two-story building fire before 6:30 a.m. at Monroe Street and Cicero Avenue.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Multiple injuries were reported after a building caught fire on the city's West Side, according to the Chicago Fire Department. The buidling, which fire officials said was occupied, is near Monroe and Cicero in the South Austin neighborhood. Chopper 7 was on the way to the scene.

CHICAGO - Two people were taken to a hospital after a fire in an apartment building on Chicago's West Side Tuesday morning. The building that caught fire around 6 a.m. is near the corner of Monroe Street and Cicero Avenue in the Austin neighborhood, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

A woman who appeared to be about 50 years old was found on fire and unresponsive in the 5900 block of South Morgan Street.
