Norfolk State athletics director Melody Webb announced that head football coach Dawson Odums has been fired. Webb announced a change in leadership for the football program in a press release, saying Norfolk State was “reassigning” Odums from his duties as head coach immediately.

The school has relieved head coach Dawson Odums of his duties and he will no longer lead the football program, according to an athletic department release sent Tuesday.
