SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea on Wednesday test-fired multiple ballistic missiles toward its eastern seas, the South Korean and Japanese militaries said, adding to its military demonstrations as tensions with Washington and neighbors escalate.

North Korea successfully tested a new ballistic missile capable of carrying a "super-large conventional warhead," Pyongyang's state media reported on Thursday. State-controlled KCNA news agency quoted the country's Missile Administration as stating the test-fire,
