Thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday but likely on Thursday. Conditions stay warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s to around 90 Wednesday before temps return to normal on Thursday — in the 80s for most areas.

Widespread showers and storms, with rainfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour, could come to the region and nearby counties, according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Lehigh and Northampton counties are under a flash flood watch from 2 to 9 p.m.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected late this afternoon and into the evening, dropping as much as 1 to 2 inches of rain an hour, according to AccuWeather.
