Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission feeds 1,300 people on Thanksgiving

Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission said it will feed 1,300 people for Thanksgiving on Thursday (Nov. 28). A thousand meals will be delivered to families in need; and the other 300 meals will be served on site at the mission.

More than 2,000 Thanksgiving meals served in Shreveport-Bossier

The Salvation Army of Northwest Louisiana and Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission provided more than 2,000 meals to ensure the community had a happy Thanksgiving.

The shelter will provide food, a collar, a leash and a toy. They can also assist with a crate or bed. Unity of Faith Baptist Church gave away more than 125 plates for free to residents and people in the community.
