Happy days. Massive and Ubisoft have listened to the complaints and fixed one of the most glaring problems with Star Wars Outlaws. Players know what I’m talking about. It’s those mind-numbing stealth missions that automatically fail as soon as someone is spotted.

“Restrictions like ‘Do not raise the alarm’ or ‘Do not get caught’ in quests were forcing players into stealthy playstyles, limiting the ability to choose whether to use combat or not. As a result, some quests could feel frustrating or unfair,” new creative director Drew Rechner said in a developer update.

The latest Star Wars Outlaws update is a doozy, focusing mostly on removing one of the biggest issues players had with the game: forced stealth.

As part of its ongoing overhaul, Star Wars Outlaws will be dropping forced stealth sections from "almost all" parts of the game with its new patch. In a blog post, developer Massive Entertainment outlined these changes, which will allow players to blast their way out of danger when they're discovered by enemies. Frank Reynolds would be proud.
