what's the meaning of “block letters” when i fill in a form?
Jan 14, 2020 · Strictly speaking, "block letters" just means to write with the letters all separated (that is, it's the opposite of cursive). Writing in all-caps is called "block capitals", though these days "block letters" is becoming a synonym of it. I usually just write it in all caps anyway. =P

Like the top middle block is a full block in some letters and a slab in others. Ams the middle slab in the F is on the top instead of the bottom And others have already noted the W can be the same width as the others. But otherwise it's pretty neat

Aug 21, 2020 · So technically "block letters" just means separate letters (not joined together), not necessarily capital letters. However, "block letters" is often used to mean the same as "block capitals," which obviously does mean capital letters. If I were you, I would do capital letters just to be safe - you can't go wrong that way.

there also windows alt codes for numpad (hold alt and type ascii char code on numpad (must be pad not top row). e.g. holding alt and pressing 1 and letting go will give you a smileyface (ascii not emoji). im not on comp atm tho.

Aug 8, 2012 · Ah yes, I forgot to mention that in the album. That is definitely an alternative to what I've made. The reason I kept the full blocks is because each other number (except 0) in that set has thicker strokes on the vertical strokes vs. the horizontal ones.

the top middle block of J can be lowered by half a block make Y a capital letter maybe 4 can be improved by removing the lower left block, changing middle left to stairs with the 'open' part pointing left up. Bottom middle can then be moved to middle middle. Maybe thats better? Some are struggling but I dont see a better way.

Sep 5, 2022 · As someone who has studied Russian for 7+ years, block letters are definitely easier in the beginning but cursive is so much faster. There’s definitely a learning curve there because some of the letters look totally different in cursive («т» and «д», for example) but it really is much faster once you get used to it, I promise!
