i think because rdr 2 is such a huge game it will take a lot of optimization to get stable 60fps @4k. there are tiny fps dips even on 30fps on ps4 version so i suspect 4k @30-45fps locked and 1080p@60fps performance mode is what will come. ps5 pro will handle 4k @60fps but ps5 fat/slim idk. I've read that it's just a fake HDR patch and that it's honestly better to just keep it turned off - but I've also read they patched the patch it to make it better. I'm 2 mins in, trudging through the snow and Arthur and Micah are looking a bit cartooney.

Go to the mod website and download the files, insert those files into the usb and put those files inside rdr2. Remove the usb and put it back into the ps5.

Here’s my opinion. GTA5 was a PS3 game released in 2013, and it wasn’t until 2022 that it got 60 FPS on consoles. At that rate, RDR2 which was released in 2018 will get 60FPS on consoles in 2027. People have been saying it would get a PS5 update “any day/month/year now” since the PS5 was released 3 and a half years ago.

Nov 15, 2021 · Red Dead Redemption 2 has an unlocked Frame Rate on PC as well, and if my PC was powerful enough, I would play it on there. But that just shows that the game's engine is capable of running at 60fps with decent hardware. If Rockstar is capable of a PC release, they are definitely capable of giving it a 60fps patch for Series X and PS5.

Nov 6, 2021 · The lighting, fog and such is so much better on pc, even in 1080p that I much prefer it over playing it on ps5. PC is much better. Consoles look hella blurry. And consoles are stuck at a terrible 30FPS lock. You can at least adjust sharpening levels on PC to lessen the blur.
