Sep 17, 2022 · Dbrand Dark Plates 2.0 have been tested several times with multiple youtube videos. Testing has been done with multiple ssd types. I have had mine on since release of the plates. I have a 2 tb Samung 980 Pro in my PS5. 0 issues. I also constantly clean it and have it in a clean ventilated area. I think alot of people dont clean.

Using vented face plates helps. My ps5 is almost a year old. It's cleaned fairly regularly. At least the parts I can get to easily without disassembling the whole thing (like the fan and heat sinks). Never had any issues until I played spiderman 2 on it. With this game it gets hot enough to go into rest mode on its own, within 30 mins of Use.
